1. When did you start running regularly. How many marathons/half marathons have you completed so far ?
I started running at the age of 19.  I ran my first full marathon at age 36.  I have also run lot of 5,000mts, 10,000 mts and cross contry race–12.5 k .

2. How often do you run in a week. ?
I run 4 to 5 days in a week .

3. Why do you run. ? Why did you take up running over other sports that you might have tried ?
To become a champion….Now a days I want to complete tha race, lot of  sweating…..:)-

4. What are your personal bests ?
100 mts   —–12.8 sec
200 mts   —–27.6 sec
400 mts   —–56.2 sec
800 mts   —–02min 08 sec
1500 mts   —–04 min 22 sec
5000 mts   —–16 min
10000 mts   —–32 min 40 sec
12.5 k/ cr. con —41 min
20 k          ——01 hrs 05 min
21 k          ——01 hrs 13 min

5. What gets you going out on the roads and do these runs regularly ?
Fitness, Joy, Peace of mind…….

6. What was your toughest marathon and why ?
Pune lnternational marathon….1998 I ran bare foot…..Crowd was fully engergetic. School children from  differant schools were dancing, and flowering.

7. Chennai is warm and humid for most part of the year. How do you handle it. ?
Chennai is my native place. So used to it. Sometimes I train in Ooty and other high altitude locations.

8. Which is the best place to have a good run in Chennai for you ?
LOYOLA, IIT,A.U, PORUR ROAD,MARINA, …..

9. What do you wish to convey to folks out there who want to become regular runners. ?
Try to be regular in running. Be disciplined. Take good rest/diet.
